BERTA'S FINISHING CLASS

Date: Sunday  November 13 from noon to 3:00 pm

If you've ever knitted a piece and it was too big, you know how frustrating that can be. Berta is going to show us how to shorten an already finished piece, picking up stitches, seaming like a pro. And that's just a few of the techniques we will learn.

You will learn how to professionally finish your sweater. Berta will show you vertical and horizontal seams, grafting, and vertical and horizontal buttonholes.

TWO GENERATIONS:     THE ART OF MOTHER AND DAUGHTER

Both artists are realists but in different media. The mother, Millie Wiskari of Charlestown, RI , a portraitist and painter of landscapes and other subjects, works in oils and watercolors. Her daughter, Dawn Wiskari-Costa of warwick, RI , a muralist as well as portraitist and painter of landscapes and other subjects, draws in pencil and paints in acrylics.
